Reduction of mandatory construction requirements

Construction requirements in Russia have undergone changes. The Ministry of Construction has suggested reducing of the volume of obligations by almost a third. The organization has already created a project.

A decree, due to which nearly third of GOST standards became to be recommendatory, was signed in the summer of last year. The number of standards approached the mark of 7 thousand. Ministry of Construction presented a list of mandatory standards and rules for construction organizations, which was reduced by another 3.8 thousand positions nowadays. The project starts only from September 2021 and will last until 2027.

Among the main changes presented in the list of standards, we can note the exclusion of repeated requirements for several kinds of security and redundant requests. It was discussed at the meeting that such a transformation would not affect the quality of work and the safety of buildings. All amendments were agreed with the Ministry of Emergency Situations during the meeting. According to the Head of the Ministry of Construction speech about a third of the mandatory requirements will be further finalized.
