New safety standards from the Ministry of Emergencies

In the flow of standards developments from the Russian Research Institute of Civil Defense and Emergency Emercom are going to develop GOST standards, which helps people to be able to receive warnings about dangerous situations and safety references. Their preparation will take a year. In total, 20 state standards will be created. It’s two times more then last year's amount.

Standardization will allow not only to save resources significantly, but also to ensure complete safety and excellent quality of work. One national document on informing the population about emergencies has already been done and approved by experts of the Emercom. We recall, this standard affects the aspects of competent evacuation of the population, restoration of lost documents, the procedure for obtaining the necessary payments, and more. GOST will come into force on June 1, 2020.

Scientists have done fruitful work for creating a unified automated information system that is able to assess the RCB protection in the Russian Federation last year as well. Due to this development, it is possible to get indicators from each constituent entity of Russia. Indicator extensively describes the state of protection of the population from the negative consequences of RCB attacks, data on the state of affairs and the range of participants in terms of safety level.
